Our Founder

A New Jersey native, Suzanne Stone began her career as an advertising assistant at MTV Networks, working on accounts such as Universal Studios and AT&T. In 1997, after MTV Networks, Suzanne went on to work for GeoCities, an internet start up company which was eventually bought by Yahoo in 1999. After ten years at Yahoo as a top Advertising Sales Executive, overseeing accounts such as Pepsi and Pfizer, Suzanne took time off to raise her daughter Isabella in New York City, where she is still based with her family.

In 2012, Suzanne was diagnosed with breast cancer. Recently divorced and a single mom, she learned how to balance a lot. Raising a young daughter while recovering from a double mastectomy was not easy, but the support from her family and friends helped a lot.

On a blind dated in late 2012, she met her now husband Rob. Now with an extra set of hands at home and a not so young daughter (Isabella was now eight), Suzanne was ready for a new challenge. She always wanted to sell a physical product and tap into her creative side.

Splatter was founded in 2014 to fill a gap that Suzanne saw in the children's market. Unable to find good quality clothing with a reliable fit for her young daughter, Suzanne designed a fashionable girls clothing line that was immediately picked up by speciality stores across the country. When friends, family and even strangers began to request custom hoodies and tees for parties and school events, Custom Wear by Splatter was born in 2016.

Three short years later, the sole focus of Splatter is custom apparel and accessories for schools, camps, boutique gyms and companies. Suzanne continues to expand her company with the introduction of more and more styles in infant, toddler, youth and adult sizes for men and women. From hoodies and tees in the core collections to more seasonal products, such as tie dye raglans and pants, Splatter continues to grow with every season.

Splatter has established a loyal fan base of hundreds of top private and public schools such as Horace. Mann, The Hewitt School, PS 40 to name a few. Splatter remains a women-run, family owned and operated. small business and the core team has been together since the beginning of the company. Suzanne's mother works for the company and oversees all production at the Splatter warehouse in Elmwood Park, New Jersey.

Suzanne resides in New York City and Water Mill, New York with her husband, daughter and dogs, Marley and Chloe, and her step children live close by too!
